At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Dr Shivani Sharma for an exclusive interview with us. Dr Shivani is a Physiotherapist, Specialised Cardiopulmonary and Founder and Director of PhysioAdviserIndia. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dr Shivani:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I began my journey as a clinician with a deep passion for helping people heal. But over time, I realised my true calling extended beyond individual patient care. I wanted to create something larger — a platform that could reach and empower more people to live pain-free, healthy lives. With that vision, I founded PhysioAdviserIndia, now one of the most trusted and renowned physiotherapy brands in Delhi–NCR.
From a single idea to a thriving network, PhysioAdviserIndia has grown into a multispecialty physiotherapy ecosystem, offering personalised care across hospitals, clinics, home care, corporate setups, women’s health, and sports rehabilitation. Today, we proudly operate six wellness clinics across the region — in Indirapuram (Ghaziabad), Rajinder Nagar, Gulabi Bagh, Burari, Chhatarpur (Delhi), and Palam Vihar (Gurgaon) — each committed to promoting holistic well-being and restoring quality of life.
A strong advocate for women’s health, I have introduced several advanced treatments tailored specifically for women, focusing on pelvic rehabilitation, osteopathy, manual therapy, and acupuncture.
Backed by international certifications from Australia and Malaysia, and over 14 years of hands-on clinical experience, I continue to integrate global best practices with compassionate, evidence-based care.
My dedication and innovation have been recognised through multiple honours, including:
> Best Physiotherapy Service Provider in New Delhi (2019)
> Consultant of the Year (2020) – Global Outreach Healthcare Awards
> COVID Warrior (2021) – Honoured by Hon’ble Minister Shri Shripad Naik for providing free tele-helpline services during the pandemic
I firmly believe in the power of Karma — “Whatever you give out will always come back.” Through my work, I strive to give the gift of good health, knowing that every act of healing returns as blessings and inspiration to serve even more.
My mission is simple yet profound: “To help people move freely, live pain-free, and ensure no woman suffers in silence.”

How did you discover your passion?
When I first joined physiotherapy, I’ll admit — I was a little confused about my career path. I wasn’t sure if it was truly what I wanted to do. But as I began learning, something changed. I became fascinated by the human body — how it moves, heals, and responds. The more I studied, the more I fell in love with the science and art of movement.
I was intrigued by how the right techniques and strategies could help someone recover from injury, regain strength, and reclaim their independence. Each recovery story inspired me to go deeper into my work.
With time and experience, I discovered that my true passion went beyond just treating patients. I wanted to empower people to take control of their own health — to help them understand their bodies, make informed choices, and live pain-free, active lives.
That realisation became the foundation of my journey — and the reason I founded PhysioAdviserIndia. Through this platform, I aim to combine clinical expertise with education and compassion, helping people not just heal, but truly thrive.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
My biggest source of motivation has always been my family — especially my parents. Their constant support, belief, and encouragement have shaped the person and professional I am today.
Being the parents of a girl child, they always inspired me to dream big, work hard, and never let societal limitations define what I could achieve. Their faith in me became my strength. Every milestone I’ve reached — from starting my first clinic to leading multiple wellness centres today — is a reflection of their unconditional love and guidance.
They taught me that success isn’t just about achievements; it’s about making a difference and using your skills to help others. That value continues to guide me every single day in my journey with PhysioAdviserIndia.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
Over the years, I’ve realised that personal and professional growth go hand in hand. Several strategies have shaped my journey and helped me evolve — not just as a physiotherapist, but as a person and a leader.
Continuous Learning: I believe knowledge is limitless. I make it a point to stay updated with the latest research, tools, and techniques in physiotherapy, ensuring that every patient receives the most advanced and effective care possible.
Networking: Growth happens through connection. Building a strong network of professionals, mentors, and peers has inspired me, challenged me, and opened doors to new ideas and collaborations.
Risk-Taking: I’ve learned that stepping out of my comfort zone is essential for progress. Taking calculated risks — whether launching a new clinic, introducing a new service, or adopting innovative practices — has always brought valuable learning experiences.
Self-Care: As a healthcare professional, I understand that I can only give my best when I feel my best. That’s why I prioritise self-care, making time for activities that nourish my mind, body, and soul. It keeps me balanced, focused, and motivated.
These principles continue to guide my journey — helping me stay grounded, passionate, and purpose-driven as I work to make physiotherapy accessible, empowering, and transformative for everyone.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
Through my personal and professional journey, I’ve come to believe that success is not a destination — it’s a continuous process of growth, learning, and perseverance.
For me, a few core principles have always made the difference:
Passion: Genuine passion for what you do is the foundation of lasting success. It keeps you motivated, focused, and driven, even when challenges arise.
Hard Work: There’s truly no substitute for consistent effort and dedication. Every milestone I’ve achieved in my career is the result of commitment, discipline, and the willingness to keep going when things get tough.
Resilience: Setbacks and failures are part of every journey. What matters most is how quickly you bounce back, learn from them, and move forward with greater strength and clarity.
Innovation: In a fast-evolving world, staying ahead means embracing change. I believe in exploring new ideas, technologies, and treatment approaches to ensure that my patients always receive the best possible care.
These principles continue to guide me every day — in my work, in my leadership, and in my vision for PhysioAdviserIndia — to create a future where health, healing, and empowerment go hand in hand.
